The elementary team is participating in the 2018 Global Read Aloud. During GRA, teachers read aloud assigned books per grade level. We then connect with other classes around the country reading the same books, using platforms like Flipgrid, Skype, Edmodo, Seesaw, and Kidblog. This is an amazing way to make Global connections and learn through the eyes of others!

6th grade hosted 2nd grade for another amazing and informative Skype call to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We learned all about the Giant Sequoia trees and what it takes for these trees to grow so big. In this picture the park ranger shows us a tree that was cut down. It was over 30 feet wide!
