Dear Parent/Guardian:
The school year is beginning soon, and I want to welcome you as our partner in your
child or children’s education. We value, appreciate, and seek out your involvement and
collaboration for the success of your student(s).
We are asking all parents to help us ensure the regular, on-time attendance of their
children at school. We monitor attendance closely because research has shown that
regular attendance is vital for the success of children in school. California law states
that absences are excused only if the child is ill or there is an excuse which meets the
requirements of the California Education Code Section 48205. Even excused absences
that cause your child to miss significant amounts of school can cause your child to fall
behind in class.
Education Code Section 48260 defines a truant as a pupil who has missed more than
30 minutes on three days without a valid excuse in one school year. Our goal is to have
all children present in school every day and on time. Our district’s policy is that we may
require verification of absences due to illness or quarantine, if your child has missed
school for three consecutive days. Please be aware that going “out of town” when
school is in session with your child is an unexcused absence.
I look forward to working with you in a meaningful partnership for your child.
We at Warner Unified will work very hard with you to ensure that
your child receives the best education possible. We are depending on you, and
I want to thank you for entrusting us with your child. To provide your child with an
outstanding education, your child must maintain excellent attendance.
Please refer to our website at www.warnerusd.net for this year’s school calendar.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 760-782-3517.
Sincerely,
Mr. Tim Bagby
Warner Unified Principal
We've missed you and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.😊

Mr. Tim Bagby
Good Morning, Warner Families! For those of you who have a difficult time registering your students during the work day, we are having an evening registration tonight, Tuesday, August 6th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Stop by and bring your birth certificates and proof of residency. We're looking forward to an awesome school year!
Happy Friday Warner Families!
As we head into our last week of summer break and get prepared for school to start on August 14th, we have a lot of going on at Warner! All staff will return to campus on August 12th for 2 days of professional development and preparations.
- We are having water bottle filling stations and drinking fountains installed across campus. These are from a state grant and are fully filtered and provide safe drinking water across campus and at the ball fields. We hope to have them all up and running by next week.
- We have new elementary teachers who are excited to get started and who we will be introducing next week.
- Tuesday, August 6th from 4- 7 pm will be in-person student registration. Thank you for your patience as we transitioned to a new student information system this summer. Please call the District office if you need help signing in.
- We will have a large delivery of backpacks and supplies again this year. If your student needs a backpack, please let us know!
- We took delivery of our 4th brand new bus, so our transportation program is ready to go. It's been a challenge as we have been replacing buses that are 20+ years old. The bus routes will be published early next week, stay tuned!
- Thursday, August 8th from 12 -2 pm meet and great pizza lunch with our new principal Mr. Bagby. All parents and guardians are welcome!
- If you would like to enroll your student in Preschool, please call 760-782-3517 next week to schedule an appointment with Ana.

Warner Families,
School is right around the corner and we are very excited to get the school year rolling! We are transitioning to Synergy, a new student information system. This has been a process with its challenges and we apologize for any inconvenience.
This Thursday and Friday, August 1st and 2nd, Ms. Arley will be in the front office from 9:00 until 3:00 to help with password issues. You may call or stop by the office.
Beginning Monday, August 5th, Ms. Arle and Ms. Ana will be on campus from 8:00 to 3:00 to assist you with registration. We also will be having an in person registration on Tuesday, August 6 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm for your convenience.
Thursday, August 8 from Noon to 2:00 there will be a pizza lunch time to meet Mr. Bagby, our new principal. The pizza and drinks are free. We look forward to seeing you there.
Attention Families:
Due to fire evacuations in the area including some of our staff, we are unfortunately going to have to cancel the remainder of the registration night. We will reschedule an additional time in the next week or two. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Everyone stay safe out there!
Hello Warner families and happy summer!
Our staff has been working hard to get our new registration system up and running and we have had two successful in person events so far. Unfortunately for this first year, the password set up is a very manual process. Please expect a call from Ana today or tomorrow to let you know your email and a temporary password.
If you would like help registering in person, please join us tomorrow, Wednesday 7/24 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the cafeteria where we have computer stations, scanners and staff members and ready to help.
If you haven't received a call by tomorrow, please contact the district office starting Thursday and we will get your password setup.
Thank you for your patience!
Warner Staff.
"There's One More Award!" The Summer Program staff surprised Director Miss Martha with an "Above & Beyond" award to recognize her exceptional efforts to provide quality experiences for our Summer Program students. Well done, Miss Martha!
